Características de las publicaciones enfermeras en revistas con factor de impacto

Abstract

Resumen Objetivos Identificar las caracteristicas bibliometricas de las revistas de Enfermeria con Factor de Impacto (FI) y analizar caracteristicas metodologicas y de autoria de los estudios originales publicados en revistas con FI. Metodo Estudio descriptivo retrospectivo. Se ha realizado una revision bibliografica de las publicaciones de Enfermeria incluidas en el Journal Citation Reports (JCR) durante los anos 2009 y 2010, con el analisis de una muestra de los articulos originales publicados. Los datos se analizaron con estadisticos descriptivos. Resultados En el ano 2009 habia 74 revistas de Enfermeria con FI y en el ano 2010 constan 91. En el 2010, el 93,5% de estas revistas estaban editadas en ingles, predominando las publicaciones bimensuales (43%) y por especialidades, Materno-Infantil es el area de conocimiento con mas revistas (25%). El 72,8% de los articulos originales fueron estudios cuantitativos, realizados de forma mas frecuente en el hospital (42%) y con muestras de pacientes (34,6%). Los temas estudiados con mayor frecuencia fueron: «cuidados basados en evidencia» (23,5%), «medicion de calidad en cuidados» (18,52%) y «eficacia de intervenciones enfermeras» (14,81%). Los autores procedian de Europa y EE. UU. y su lugar de trabajo mas frecuente era la universidad. Conclusiones Las revistas de Enfermeria con FI estan aumentando, especialmente en areas de especializacion enfermera. Las publicaciones de Enfermeria con FI en espanol son aun incipientes. La investigacion cuantitativa sigue predominando dominando. Se estudian principalmente temas de efectividad, evidencia y calidad de los cuidados y los investigadores proceden en su mayoria del ambito docente.
