AbstractMinimally invasive cardiac surgery has been used to repair different types of congenital heart disease improving cosmetic outcomes, and for some authors, perioperative morbidity. In the next manuscript we’ll describe the minimally invasive surgical approaches, especially the most common types such as right thoracotomy and lower ministernotomy. In addition, we’ll comment on the advantages and disadvantages of each surgical technique, as well as the results reported in the literature.
