Abstract The paper discusses spectral properties of adsorption equilibria described by the Bi-Langmuir isotherm. The standard Langmuir isotherm and the so-called modified Langmuir isotherm are included as special cases. These spectral properties are of fundamental importance for the theoretical analysis of chromatographic separation processes using equilibrium theory.
