AbstractThis paper presents fuzzy logic based controller for five-phase induction motor drives. The controller is based on indirect rotor field oriented control technique. The complete control scheme including the fuzzy logic is experimentally implemented using a digital signal processing board for a laboratory five-phase induction motor, Simulation is carried out by using the Matlab/Simulink package. The performance of the proposed system is investigated at different operating conditions. The proposed controller is a suitable to high performance five-phase induction motor drives. Simulation and experimental results validate the proposed approaches.
