</script>Acquired hemophilia A is a rare but often life-threatening hemorrhagic disorder characterized by an autoantibody directed against coagulation factor VIII. Fifty per cent of cases are idiopathic whereas the remaining 50% are associated with pregnancy, autoimmune conditions, malignancies and drugs. In this review the actual knowledge on diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of this disease will be summarized.
