Abstract 1. 1. One hundred ten cases of minor salivary gland tumors have been critically analyzed. 2. 2. Benign mixed tumors were the most common type of minor salivary gland tumors and constituted forty-nine per cent of all tumors. 3. 3. Cylindroma was the most frequently encountered malignant tumor and constituted 37.3 per cent of all minor salivary gland tumors. 4. 4. The palate was the most common site of minor salivary gland tumors. 5. 5. Surgical removal has been the treatment of choice for benign and malignant minor salivary gland tumors. Benign mixed tumors should be excised with a portion of the normal surrounding tissue. 6. 6. In cylindroma, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are useful as palliative procedures in temporarily controlling the disease.
