The nature of the luminescence of compounds with YbFe2O4 structure

Abstract

Abstract The luminescence properties of the following compounds are reported and discussed: ScZnGaO4, InZnGaO4 and InMgGaO4. These compounds have a layer structure (YbFe2I4). The luminescence properties depend on the occupation of the layers in the crystal structure by metal ions with d10 configuration.
