Abstract The luminescence and photoconductivity of the ordered perovskite Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 are reported. The observed transitions in the excitation spectrum are explained using the band scheme which has been proposed for CsPbBr 3 . The emission spectrum contains the free exciton line, but is mainly due to the recombination of excitons bound to defects or impurities in the crystal lattice.
