Abstract First we discuss the problem of deciding whether there exists an equivalent Horn-, definite Horn- or quadratic formula for a propositional formula. Furthermore we consider renaming of formulas, i.e., atoms of the formula can be replaced by their complements, and show that for Horn-formulas the renaming-equivalence can be solved in O(n3) time and linear space.
