Abstract A method for numerical calculation of the residual polarisation of diamagnetic muons and muonic radicals formed by reactions of muonium is described; it has the advantage that complex kinetic situations can be treated exactly. It is applied to fast reactions in solution for which the rate constant is time dependent and to competition between homogeneous and spur reactions.
