Abstract The pressure tracings obtained by right-heart catheterization are described in ten patients with constrictive pericarditis and three patients with acute pericardial effusion. The left-atrial and ventricular-pressure tracing of one of these is shown. The cardiac catheterization data of 453 patients with other forms of cardiac disease were reviewed.
