Genetic algorithms are one of the most popular optimization algorithms. Schema theory provides a mathematical foundation for the working of genetic algorithm. Different variants of the basic genetic algorithm have been proposed; and genetic algorithm having distributed population set (Island model of genetic algorithm) is one of them. In this paper, traditional schema theory is extended for the case of genetic algorithm having distributed population set and the probability of schema survival for such case is derived.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
