Abstract

In Europa begann der sturmische Aufbau von MDF-Produktionskapazitaten erst Ende der 70er Jahre, und damit im Vergleich zu den USA ca. 10 Jahre spater. Der Anteil von MDF an der deutschen Holzwerkstoffproduktion lag 1994 bei 8% und weltweit 1993 bei 6%. Bis zum Jahr 2000 wird international mit einer anhaltend dynamischen MDF-Produktion gerechnet und ihr Anteil wird dann auf 14% geschatzt.
