Abstract

Die Darmflora ist fur eine normale Entwicklung des menschlichen Immunsystems notwendig, und zwar sowohl in bezug auf seine Fahigkeit, mit Abwehr zu antworten, als auch seine Fahigkeit, immunologische Toleranz zu entwickeln, hauptsachlich via Darmmukosa, d.h. orale Toleranz. Toleranz ist im wesentlichen ein aktiver Prozes, ohne den wir hochstwahrscheinlich eine fortwahrende immunologische-entzundliche Reaktivitat an der Mukosa hatten. Anscheinend entwickeln wir normalerweise eine Toleranz gegen unsere eigene Flora. Die Zerstorung dieser Toleranz konnte bei der Pathogenese entzundlicher Darmerkrankungen eine Rolle spielen.
