This chapter is a description of the use of one particular methodology of eigenstructure assignment on the Robust Control Aircraft Model (RCAM) challenge as set out in [145]. Emphasis is put on the general methodology in order to concentrate on the similarities between traditional control system design methods and eigenstructure assignment. The results show that although the final controller in this case is not the ideal one, the design process is defined clearly enough for eigenstructure assignment to be used as a design tool in a wider design process.
