Abstract

Het boek Kinderen die slecht zien is opgedragen aan Suzan Hoekstra–Vrolijk (1948–1996). Zij was tot begin van dit jaar als orthopedagoge verbonden aan het Centrum Bartimeus in Zeist. Zij had zich beroepsmatig toegelegd op de orthopedagogiek rondom het visueel gehandicapte kind. Zo was zij intensief betrokken bij de ontwikkelingen die het Centrum Bartimeus gedurende de afgelopen twintig jaar doormaakte. Kort voor haar veel te vroege overlijden mocht zij het eerste exemplaar in ontvangst nemen. Het gaf haar zeer grote voldoening dat deze onderneming tot een goed einde was gekomen. Zij was (terecht) zeer tevreden met het resultaat.
