Abstract

Der Einsatz von innovativen Informationsterminals als Wege- und Leitsystem im stationaren Handel ist eine den traditionellen Wegweisern vermeintlich uberlegene Neuerung. Die Vorteile reichen von einer problemadaquateren und auf das individuelle Suchproblem zugeschnittenen Orientierungsunterstutzung bis hin zu der Vermittlung von Erlebniseffekten. Auf der anderen Seite besteht die Gefahr, den einmal gewonnenen Kunden zu schnell durch das Sortiment zu schleusen und die Anzahl der fur den Handel wichtigen Impuls- und ungeplanten Kaufe zu verringern. Die genauen Nutzeffekte aus Kundenund Handlersicht sind bislang wenig erforscht. Die vorliegende Studie versucht daher, einen ersten Beitrag zur Untersuchung dieses Problems zu leisten und untersucht den Einfluss der Terminalnutzung auf den Kundenlauf. Die Ergebnisse der Studie zeigen insgesamt einen positiven Effekt des in der Untersuchung eingesetzten Advertools Terminals auf die untersuchten Konstrukte und Verhaltensebenen.
