En este articulo se estudia el movimiento de gusanos y carcoma. En sintesis, el problema puede reducirse al siguiente: A un plato grande y circular, de vidrio, se le divide en sectores y se coloca un animal en el centro de cada sector; el plato se coloca a lo largo de un diametro, se cubre el plato durante un corto tiempo y despues se descubre, anotando el numero de animales que hay en cada sector. La hipotesis nula que se contrasta es que el movimiento de los animales es aleatorio. Se tiene en cuenta la posible «falta de cooperacion» o «pereza» de los gusanos en el experimento, dandose un indice de este hecho.
