Abstract

Beschrieben wird der exoskelettale Schultergurtel der Antiarchi-FormGerdalepis jesseni n. sp. aus dem mittleren Eifelium (Holotyp). Er ist, obwohl ahnlich triangular, verhaltnismasig niedriger und langer als der vonG. rhenana (Beyrich). Der Anteromediodorsal-Knochen (AMD) der neuen Art besitzt einen erstmalig bei einem Vertreter dieser Gattung beobachteten, nach posterodorsal gerichteten, kurzen Stachel. Die Crista apicalis, deren Bedeutung noch unbekannt ist, wird allein vom Posterodorsolateral-Knochen (PDL) gebildet.
