Abstract

Gli AA. ammettono che le riflessioni contemporanee dalle regioni ionizzate Eed F2 siano dovute a un gradiente assai elevato della densita ionica coll’altezza nella E. Le osservazioni eseguite hanno dimostrato che, quando Ia gamma di frequence su cui si osservano riflessioni contemporanee e assai estesa, gli echi dalla F2 sono piu intensi: cio comprova la ipotesi formulata, poich`e, se il gradiente ionico nella E e elevato, minore deve essere la ionizzazione al disotto della E, in quelle regioni, cioe, in cui le onde subiscono il maggiore assorbimento.
