1. The cases of 308 patients suffering from cancer of the cervix uteri seen at St. Anne’s Hospital, Dublin, between 1938–1944 are discussed. 2. The method of radiation treatment used is described. 3. The results of treatment are given. 4. The limitations of current statistical methods are considered. 5. A method of presentation of statistics is suggested, which to a large extent overcomes these limitations.
