Bentyl Hydrochloride is a new anticholinergic drug with a high degree of specificity for the gastrointestinal tract. In a series of 1,272 consecutive reported cases, including those receiving doses as high as 13 times the usual oral clinical dose, there has been no mydriatic effect.
