In this paper we establish an expansion of complex degree of coherence by using the properties that we can obtain from its definition. In the third section we utilize this expansion for studying the problem of object reconstruction; we conclude that, if the optical system fulfils some conditions, it is possible to construct, in an unique way, the modulus of object transmittance from intensity data at the image and to characterize, in an unique way, the behaviour of object transmittance with respect to every new source or optical system.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 28 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 1% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
