This Institute has come into being by the efforts of ordinary people. In the words of Prime Minister Nehru—it is an “adventure”. He paid a great tribute to the organization, which has filled the hearts of its sponsors with joy when he said, “Well, I don't know what I can say to you, except to wish you well with this adventure that you have started. I call it an adventure, because it has really been a kind of adventure for a handful of persons deeply interested in this task to go ahead without thinking too much of future consequences, that is, financial consequences, chiefly”.
