1. An analysis of thirtyone cases of tuberculous meningitis has been presented. 2. It has been shown that the disease is on the increase. 3. Early diagnosis (clinical and C.S.F. changes) and intensive treatment for a prolonged period is necessary for cure. 4. Prognosis has been revolutionised by the new chemotherapeutic and antibiotic group of drugs. 5. Treatment of choice (specific therapy) at the present time is (a) streptomycin and hydrazide intramuscularly, (b) streptomycin intrathecally and hydrazide intrathecally in obstinate cases, (c) PAS orally.
