Das Genu valgum

Abstract

Das Genu valgum macht in seiner rachitischen Form typische Erscheinungen; rontgenologisch zeigen sich meist die Diaoder Metaphysen verbogen. Neben dem rachitischen gibt es eine besondere Form des X-Beins, das bisher als Genu valgum staticum oder adolescentium bezeichnet wurde. Dieser Form liegt anatomisch ein Kniegelenk zugrunde, das in der Entwicklung zuruckgeblieben, d. h. auf fetaler Stufe stehen geblieben ist. Ein solches Kniegelenk ist hauptsachlich durch die Fehlentwicklung des auseren Femurcondylus charakterisiert, der in der Hohe und Breitenentwicklung zuruckbleibt und die mangelhafte Krummung behalt, wie sie beim menschlichen Fetus und z. B. auch beim Gorilla vorkommt. Diese Entwicklungsstorung, die dem Genu valgum non-rachiticum zugrunde liegt, ist angeboren und hereditar.
