Two cases ofmyositis ossificans progressiva have been reported. A few cases from India have been reported previously. This demonstrates that the disease is not confined to white races only as affirmed byMather 9 andRyan 12. These two cases, one in a child and the other in an adult, showed the typical changes described. Also, it is evident that the patient can attain adult age in spite of the disability.
