The schedule of injection therapy that is found to be beneficial in the treatment of children with bronchial asthma in this Clinic is described. The diagnosis of asthma is established on the basis of history, physical examination, relevant laboratory tests and X-ray investigations. The bronchial challenge testing is found to be safe and conducted with inexpensive equipment for aerosolization. The parents are advised as to the avoidance of possible allergens and the injection therapy is carried out in selected cases with necessary precautions.
