A case of chloroquine resistant mixed malaria infection is reported. Patient had associated complications: cerebral malaria; glomerulonephritis with renal failure; disseminated intravascular coagulation; gastro intestinal complications of vomiting, diarrhea and melena and pulmonary edema. Response to quinine and other therapeutic measures was good but impairment of renal functions remained for a long period.
