Baryon-baryon interactions and unitary symmetry

Abstract

The baryon-baryon interactions are studied by making use of the octet version of the unitary symmetry model. The bound state Ξ−n in the1S0 state is predicted provided that the symmetry is not violated seriously. The Ξ-n → Σ−Σ0 process occurs only through the space-spin svmmetric state. A method to treat the symmetry violation in the lowenergy scattering is discussed.
