Zum Einfluß von Photoperiode und Temperatur auf die Entwicklung des Kupferstechers, Pityogenes chalcographus L. (Col., Scolytidae)

Abstract

Durch Laborexperimente wurde festgestellt, das Jungkafer vonPityogenes chalcographus nach Abschlus ihrer Entwicklung in den Brutsystemen inaktiv bleiben, wenn sie sich bei 20° und Kurztagbedingungen entwickelt haben. Waren die Bruten bei 20° Langtagbedingungen ausgesetzt, so verlast nur ein Teil der Jungkafer die Brutstatten. Bei 24° hat die Photoperiode dagegen keinen Einflus auf die Aktivitat der Kafer. Die biologische und forstliche Bedeutung der als fakultative Diapause gedeuteten Inaktivitat des Kupferstechers wird erortert.
