The results of a calculation of pion-pion scattering in two-pion exchange approximation are presented. IfS andP-waves are subtracted and iftmax≲16 andsmax≲1 600 the equations converge. It is found that there is little alteration in the low-energy solutions obtained in an earlier calculation using Legendre polynomial expansions to determine the left cut. Fortmax≲16 andsmax>1 600 certain integrals over the double spectral functions fail to converge. The results for the case where this cutoff is introduced are discussed and future work to remove the difficulties encountered at high energies is outlined.
