Twenty cases of herpes zoster in children upto the age of 10 years are reported. There were 4 infants, in 3 of them the exposure to varicellazoster virus being in intrauterine life. Thorasic dermatomes were most commonly affected. In cases where past history of varicella was not obtained, it is suggested that the initial contact with the virus may result in zoster.
