A new impedance plethysmogram with a high signal to noise ratio was developed at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay. 51 normal and 126 patients with arterial occlusive disease were studied. Assessment of distal run off was reliable. The findings correlated well with radiological observations. It was found useful to assess response to therapeutic procedures.
