Abstract

La resistance au polissage depend surtout d'une certaine micro-rugosite du grain du granulat qui est consideree comme une qualite plus ou moins naturelle de la roche liee a sa composition mineralogique, tandis que la resistance mecanique peut etre influencee par la methode d'exploitation et la technologie de la production. Il est necessaire de prendre en consideration que la connaissance de la resistance au polissage des granulats sur route peut etre amelioree si l'on connait des relations plus precises entre les essais de laboratoire, l'evolution reelle sur la chaussee sous l'influence du trafic et la verification de la classification proposee. La classification proposee repose sur deux mesures de laboratoire: le coefficient de polissage accelere et la resistance mecanique dans l'essai Los Angeles.
