Zur Karyologie der Meiose des Lebermooses Sphaerocarpus Donnellii

Abstract

Es wurde die Meiose des LebermoosesSphaerocarpus donnellii (2n = 14 + X + Y) vom mittleren Pachytan bis zur Metaphase I untersucht. Die beiden Geschlechtschromosomen zeigen mindestens vom mittleren Pachytan ab Distanzkonjugation und werden ausnahmslos prareduziert. Im Pachytan und Diplotan ist ein ungewohnlich groser, inhomogener Nucleolus vorhanden, gegen den die Enden der Bivalente ausgerichtet sind und mit dem die Bivalente an je einem Ende in fester Verbindung stehen. Ob die Bivalente im Diplotan Chiasmen besitzen, ist ungeklart. Unmittelbar nach dem Diplotan sind sie stark verkurzt und sitzen in charakteristischer Weise dem Nucleolus an. An ihnen last sich jetzt je ein Feulgen-negativer, chromosomenformiger, haufig langsgeteilter Eliminationskorper erkennen, der vom Bivalent stammt und zunachst eine Hulle um dieses bildet. Die beiden Bivalentpartner erscheinen durch ihn indirekt miteinander verbunden; dagegen weisen sie haufig keine Stellen direkten gegenseitigen Kontakts auf, also auch keine sichtbaren Chiasmen. In der Metaphase I zeigen sie unmittelbaren, terminalen Kontakt miteinander. Die Eliminationskorper losen sich (zusammen mit dem Nucleolus) in der spaten Diakinese auf. Sie sind offenbar den beiArthropoden beschriebenen Eliminationskorpern gleichzusetzen. Das Wesen und die Bedeutung von Eliminationskorpern werden abschliesend allgemein besprochen.
