Validation of the lead-210 dating method

Abstract

210Pb datings of sediments from open marine area, salt marsh area and estuary and of peat from a raised bog have been performed. Different methods of calculation are used. Net accumulation rates in the range of 0.0078–0.44 g·cm−2·year−1 were obtained. The results are in good agreement with those obtained by other methods.
