Abstract

The reactions of terminal acylacetylenes with thiocarbohydrazones give 2-(2-acyl-vinyl)thiocarbohydrazones or 2,2-bis(2-acylvinyl)thiocarbohydrazones depending on the reagent ratio. Benzoylacetylene reacts with thiocarbohydrazone ofp-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde to formS-[2-(p-dimethylaminobenzoyl)vinyl]isothiocarbodihydrazone.
