A rare endometrial stromal tumor with marked epithelial differentiation was found in a 56-year-old female. This polypoid tumor, occupying the uterine cavity, was composed of an admixture of endometrial stromal and glandular components. Ultrastructurally and immunohistochemically, it is suggested that these epithelial elements were derived from epithelial differentiation of the endometrial stromal cells.
