Abstract

1) Die Anordnungsfigur der Zapfen in der Netzhaut variirt von einer quadratischen am vorderen und hinteren Ende des Auges bis zu einem Rhombus in allen anderen Augengegenden, ausgenommen dort, wo Einschaltungen von Zapfenreihen stattgefunden haben; die weitlaufigste Vertheilung der Elemente findet sieh in der Mitte der vorderen und hinteren Augenflache. 2) Die Zapfen sind in Reihen angeordnet, welche zwei Systemen von Kreisen, auf der Augenflache gezogen, entsprechen. Das eine dieser Systeme hat seinen Mittelpunkt nahe der Mitte des oberen Randes der Hornhaut, das andere nahe der Mitte ihres unteren Randes. 3) Mit dem Wachsthum der Augenoberflache bei zunehmendem Alter wachst die Flachengrose der einzelnen Figuren und die Grose der einzelnen Elemente in ungefahr demselben Verhaltnis.
