Verbreitung und zahlenmäßige Stärke der Gemse (Rupicapra rupicapra balcanica Bolkay, 1925) in Bulgarien

Abstract

Die Untersuchung wurde aufgrund personlicher Beobachtungen im Rhodopengebirge in den Jahren von 1980 bis 1982 und 1986 bis 1988 und im Balkangebirge in den Jahren von 1974 bis 1988 durchgefuhrt. Es sind alle zuganglichen Literaturquellen der letzten hundert Jahre in Betracht gezogen worden. Man fand als Ergebnis, das die Gemse bis zu den funfziger Jahren in ihrer Zahl und Ausbreitung zuruckgegangen ist. Spater hat sie dank besseren Schutzes an Zahl zugenommen und im Jahre 1988 einen Bestand von rd. 1600 Tieren erreicht. Davon besiedeln die Rhodopen 370, das Rilagebirge 640, das Balkangebirge 265 und das Piringebirge 425 Stuck. Die Gemse hat in den letzten Jahren im Rhodopengebirge drei neue Gebiete eingenommen und ihr Verbreitungsareal im Rila- und Balkangebirge vergrosert. Ein direkter oder indirekter Einflus wird seitens des Menschen ausgeubt. Es wird als notwendig angesehen, Masnahmen zur Wiederansiedlung an neuen Stellen im Rhodopen-und Balkangebirge vorzusehen.
