Auf Grund der vorhandenen Information wird geschlossen, dass virale Einschlusskorper zu einer gewissen Zeit ihrer Entwicklung DNP, also elementare Virusteilchen enthalten. In nichtviralen Einschlussen wurde DNP niemals gefunden. Es wird ein Weg fur die morphologische Unterscheidung zwischen Einschlusskorpern (Virus) und Einschlussen anderer Natur vorgeschlagen.
