Dans ces conditions, l'on peut distinguer trois categories de Protistes: lesMoneres, ouProtistes inferieurs (Bacteries et Algues bleues-vertes), lesMesoprotistes, ouProtistes intermediaires (Algues rouges), et lesMetaprotistes, ouProtistes superieurs (la plupart des Algues, les Champignons, et les Protozoaires).
