L'arginine vasotocine est capable d'inhiber la reponse de la souris impubere a la stimulation gonadotrope, mais ne semble pas agir directement in vitro sur l'excretion hypophysaire, comme le fait le facteur inhibiteur epiphysaire present dans la poudre totale et dans la fraction F 3, obtenu apres filtration d'un extrait epiphysaire sur gel Sephadex G-25 (Fine).
