Die Latex-Geißel-Agglutination

Abstract

In bestimmter Weise hergestellte Geiselsuspensionen von Salmonellen lassen sich an Latex anlagern. Die Zugabe von homologem Serum zum Latex-Geisel-Komplex ergibt eine empfindliche Agglutinationsreaktion. Da eine Anlagerung von 0- und Vi-Antigen mit der gewahlten Versuchsanordnung dagegen nicht gelingt, ist es mit Hilfe der beschriebenen Latex-Geisel-Agglutination moglich, in einem Reaktionssystem mit O-, Vi- und H-Faktoren ausschlieslich eine H-Agglutination zu erzielen. Mit Latex sowie mit Erythrocyten, an die bekanntlich O- und Vi-Antigene angelagert werden konnen, lassen sich deshalb die praktisch wichtigen Antigene der Salmonella-Gruppe in eine indirekte Antigentrager-Agglutination einbeziehen. Mit Hilfe von Latex und Erythrocyten ist es moglich, in komplexen Systemen eindeutig zwischen O-, Vi- und H-Agglutination zu unterscheiden. Die Latex-Geisel-Agglutination erlaubt weiterhin die H-Antigen-Analyse von R-Formen. Da sie schlieslich die fur die H-Antigen-Analyse bei ublicher Agglutinationstechnik nicht mogliche Verwendung unabgesattigter homologer O-H-Seren oder O-Vi-H-Seren gestattet, wird sie als ein Schritt zur Vereinfachung der qualitativen Receptorenanalyse angesehen.
