This paper expounds researches done by the author and others on the theory of the diffusion of neutrons in a moderating medium from the point of view of “phenomenological theory” and of “transport integro-differential equations”. In particular the transformational methods with a rigorous analysis for the case of “slab-geometry” are considered.
