A study of the effect of the hypotensive drug Dopegyt on the effective renal plasma flow, the peripheral renal resistance and the isotope nephrography with131I-hippuran was carried out in 12 patients with renal hypertension and compensated renal function. The authors established that the hypotensive action of Dopegyt was not associated with significant changes in the indices studied. Based on these data, it is suggested that arterial hypertension in renal diseases should be treated with Dopegyt.
