During the last decade new extractants for actinides have been actively developed mainly to improve radiochemical processes and for analytical chemistry. At the same time our knowledge about extraction equilibrium chemistry, composition and structure of complexes became more profound. The progress in the extraction chemistry of plutonium and neptunium was recently reviewed. 1 The review on transplutonium elements was reported at the conference in Dirnitrovgrad 2 and will be published in the journal Radiochemistry. Therefore, I shall confine myself to discussion of most actual work.
