Comme le cromoglycate disodique et la diethylcarbamazine (qui ne sont pas des antistaminiques) inhibent la reaction d'hypersensibilite immediate chezPleuronectes platessa a la suite d'une injection intradermique d'extraits fungiques, il semble que les mediateurs autres que l'histamine peuvent etre impliques.
