Dans les oocytes deGalleria mellonella, on a trouve des complexes synaptonemaux, indiquant la presence de crossing-over dans cet organisme. Le complex synaptonemal s'est montre aussi dans un trophocyte, mais il semble etre ici un phenomene accidentel.
